Our Fares
Read below to find out about how our fares are calculated.
Minimum Charges
​​A minimum of $21 or 21 NDIS points is charged per trip.
NOTE: This does not include the booking fee if applicable (see 'our policies').
Rates​
​
​​Travel Distance is charged at a rate of $2.50 or 2.5 NDIS units per km.
Travel time is charged at a rate of $1.80 or 1.8 NDIS units per minute whilst travelling.
​
Wait time is charged at a rate of $1.00 or 1 NDIS unit whilst waiting (refer to 'our policies')

Note: NDIS units are rounded up at the end of the trip to the nearest unit.

Fares are calculated by the following formula:
​
Booking Fee (If Applicable) + Travel Time + Travel Distance + Tech Fee + Airport Access fee (If Applicable) + Wait Time (If Applicable)

Example:
​
Scooby wants to travel from the Haunted House to the Burger Shop at 9am in 2 days. It is a 10 minute trip to drive the 7km between the points. Scooby wants the driver to wait 15 minutes whilst the burgers are made and then return to the Haunted House. His fare would be calculated as follows.

Booking Fee = Not Applicable +
Travel Time = (10 x $1.80) x 2 ways = $36 +
Travel Distance = (7 x $2.5) x 2 ways = $35 +
Tech Fee = $1 +
Airport Access Fee = Not Applicable +
Wait Time = 15 x $1 = $15

Total Estimated Fare = $36 + $35 + $1 + $15
= $87​​​
Our Policies
Read below to find out about our fees and policies, including cancellations, wait time, inclusions, exclusions, and other fees.
Cancellations
​
Cancellation fees are at the discretion of the directors. Factors such as the frequency of clientele and your history of cancellations will be taken into consideration.
​
After 8 cancellations or 'no shows' per calendar year, services will be suspended unless up-front payment is received or alternative payment arrangements are made.
​
Cancellations made with more than 48 hours notice will not incur a cancellation fee.
​
Cancellations that are made less than 48 hours but more than 24 hours before the scheduled booking time will result in a cancellation fee charged to the client at a value of 50% of the quoted fare.
​
Cancellations that are made less than 24 hours before, no notice, or refusal to travel on the day, will result in the full amount of the scheduled service fee being charged to the client. This will be the quoted amount or the calculated travel charge, whichever is greater​​​​​.
Wait Time
​​
For airport pickups ONLY, a period of 15 minutes wait time does not incur any additional charges. After 15 minutes past the scheduled booking time, wait time is charged at $1 per minute or 1 NDIS unit (rounded up to the nearest NDIS unit at the end of the trip).

For all other bookings, the driver will wait for 5 minutes past the booking time. This does not incur any additional fees. However, at any point past the first 5 minutes, unless negotiated prior or sufficient arrangements have been made, the driver will log the booking as a 'no show' and cancellation fees will be charged accordingly.

Wait time will also be charged when accompanying a client (eg: shopping or to appointment)
​
Requests made for the driver to wait for a return trip will incur a wait time fare (see 'our fares').
Extra Stops/Additional Passengers
​​
Mystery Transport does not charge additional fees for additional passengers from the same pickup location to the same drop-off location (up to the vehicle capacity).

NOTE: Please contact us to discuss additional passenger pickup locations (or those that increase the total number of passengers to more than the vehicle capacity) or additional drop-offs.
Willful Damage
​​
If extensive damage occurs to the vehicle at the responsibility of the client, fees are charged as required to rectify damages.
Airport Access Fee
​
A fee of $3.80 is charged by Townsville Airport (TSV) for any and all bookings that require access to the airport (pickup or drop-off).
Tech Fee
​
A tech fee of $1.00 per booking is charged. This covers technological subscriptions such as vehicle tracking & notifications, and online booking. This fee is charged to all bookings.​​
Booking Fee
​
For general bookings, there is no booking fee charged. Any bookings made for weekends, public holidays, or those within 24 hours of the booking pickup time incur a booking fee of $5.00
Vehicle Cleaning Fee​
​​
Should the vehicle require extensive cleaning due to passenger damage, a cleaning fee is charged at $60 per hour or part thereof, for the number of hours required to return the vehicle to its condition prior to the client's usage.
